Born and raised on the East Coast, Lisa first studied architecture at Rhode Island School of Design while she was still in high school. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. The school's unique program was based on the Bauhaus concepts that all fields of design are interrelated and good design in any medium is based upon the same basic principles. Whether she is designing a scheme for a whole house, a kitchen or a piece of furniture, these concepts inform her work to this day. Lisa moved to Maui in 1990 and joined Ahura Designs in 1994. Member of ASID 2000 Director-at-large, Hawai'i Chapter ASID 2003 – 2005
